B-15 Flight Jacket
The iconic 1944 U.S. B-15 flight jacket, with its dense cotton twill shell, was developed by the Material Division of the US Army Airforce as a lightweight alternative to the sheepskin flying suits. Originally designed to operate at high altitudes, these flight jackets were meant to keep pilots warm in colder temperatures, ranging from 25-55 degrees Fahrenheit. Our version maintains the same attitude with a removable faux-mouton collar, zipper closure with a leather pull tab, a vintage-inspired pin-up girl graphic on the interior lining, MA-1 utility pencil pocket on the sleeve, chest zippered pocket, side welt pockets, ribbed cuffs and waistband.
